When you use our sunbeds, you want the best results that last a long time. You might have heard of tanning lotions for tanning beds, but you might be wondering whether they’re really necessary. Tanning lotions are formulated with ingredients that are proven to help your skin tan by increasing the melanin available in your skin – that’s the pigment responsible for your tan.

Tanning accelerators
Tanning accelerators do exactly what they say on the tin – they’ll speed up your tan development. They do this by activating your skin’s melanin – that’s your skin’s colour pigment. By activating your melanin, tanning accelerators will bring it to the surface of your skin in less than a minute, which means when you use our sunbeds, it’ll be exposed to the UV rays for the right amount of time.
Yes! Tanning accelerators are suitable for all tanners, and we offer a range of formulas depending on the results you’re looking for, your skin concerns, and how often you tan. Whether you’re brand-new to UV tanning, you use it for special occasions, or you’re a regular, we have a tanning accelerator for you.

Apply your tan accelerator all over your body when you’re in your private Kwik Tan room, just before you tan. This means your skin is freshly moisturised and you’ll maximise the results from your lotion. Bronzers
Bronzer tanning lotions work as accelerators, but they’re supercharged with an instant boost of colour. This colour will wash off and be replaced by the clear bronzing technology that will develop a stunning, deep colour within a few hours.
Bronzers will accelerate the tan you get from our sunbeds, but they’ll also add an additional wash of colour that’ll perfectly complement your sunbed tan. They can even out areas that don’t tan as well, like your elbows or under your arms.
If you’re looking for an immediate tan or you’ve got a last-minute event that you want to look tanned for, we recommend a bronzer. As well as accelerating the tan you’ll get from our sunbeds, they’ll give you an immediate deep colour. Then, once you wash this off, clear bronzing technology will develop and replace this colour.
If you’ve got a base tan and you want a deeper shade, a bronzer is for you. It’ll give you a deep colour on top of your base tan, as well as helping you blend areas that don’t tan well for a flawless, even bronze.
Apply your bronzer generously all over your body on the day of your tanning session. Because bronzers have colour in them, wear a glove to prevent your palms from turning orange.
Bronzing lotions come with moisturising ingredients, but if you have any especially dry patches, make sure they’re moisturised first. It’s also a good idea to exfoliate beforehand to make sure you get a smooth, streak-free application.

Tingle sunbed creams
If you’re looking for an immediate tan or you’ve got a last-minute event that you want to look tanned for, we recommend a bronzer. Tingle creams should only be used by experienced tanners who’ve plateaued. If you’re a regular tanner and you’re not getting any darker, a tingle cream might suit you.
Apply your tingle lotion before you use the sunbed. You can apply it on most parts of your body – but make sure you don’t apply it to your face or any sensitive areas.

Tan extenders
Tan extenders are moisturisers that do exactly that – they extend the tan you already have. Instead of boosting the tan you get on a sunbed, they’ll help make your tan last as long as possible afterwards.
Yes! A tan extender is a great way to keep your skin in silky smooth, soft condition between your sunbed sessions.
Unlike other tanning lotions, tan extenders should be applied after you use the sunbed, and frequently in between sessions so your tan lasts as long as possible. You could even use your tan extender as your daily body moisturiser for maximum hydration and tan boosting!
